Congratulations to Sophia Watt, who will be beginning her new job as Laboratory Manager in Dr. Anne Krendl's NiMBLe Lab (Neuroscience of Mind and Behavior Lab) this summer! We will miss you, Sophia, but so glad you'll only be in the next hall over!

Dorainne received the Trustees Teaching Award in Psychological and Brain Sciences in May!

‍The Trustees Teaching Awards are given each spring to honor outstanding teaching during the prior calendar year. The award honors faculty who have had a positive impact on student learning, especially undergraduates.

Department chairs and deans identify candidates for the award. Faculty selected for the Trustees Teaching Award will receive a monetary award and are honored at a reception in the fall.

In May, Dorainne received the Outstanding Junior Faculty Award. Read about it here! Each recipient received a $15,000 grant to support future research. A reception was be held in their honor during the fall semester.

Everyone welcome Cheryl Nong to the NICE Lab! Cheryl is a first year graduate student working with Dr. Dorainne Green!

Anna Sarpong, a research assistant in the NICE Lab who is also a member of the Center for Research on Race and Ethnicity in Society (CRRES) Undergraduate Research Program, presented her research at the 2024 CRRES Research Symposium! She presented on the project she has been working with Dr. Green on, titled Emotion Regulation Processes: How Discrimination Impacts Black/ African American Wellbeing. We are so proud of Anna and her accomplishments!

Shreya Parikh, a senior at IU, joined our lab this semester!

In addition to her acceptance, we'd also like to highlight other accomplishments of Trinity's!

She was recognized by the IU NAACP with the Beyond the Spotlight Award.

She received the Psi Chi Travel Grant for the MPA Conference (April 2024).

She was accepted into the South Korea Health and Behavioral Health study abroad program for Summer 2024.

She was a student speaker at the College of Arts and Sciences Direct Admission Ceremony.

We are SO excited to announce that one of our RAs, Trinity Barnes, has been accepted into the Developmental Psychopathology and Clinical Science PhD program at the University of Minnesota! We are so proud of Trinity and all of her hard work. Congratulations to Trinity on her huge achievement!
